YOUR CREW

Your hosts aboard the namesake catamaran, Stela, are the husband and wife team Dag & Stela strengthened by experienced Caribbean skipper Timrick and licensed Captain Isaiah.

Dag has been sailing from a young age, growing up taming the Adriatic sea. He is currently preparing for his 100 ton USCG exam.

Stela’s love for sailing grew in tandem with her love for Dag. In their 30 years of marriage, she has ASA 104 under her belt. She is also an American Board of Family Medicine certified physician with over 20 years of experience providing primary care. This duo love adventure, with many miles sailed, biked, and hiked together. They were part of the transatlantic crew that delivered STELA from La Rochelle, France to St Thomas, USVI, in the winter of 22/23. They are excited to be completing their first trans-Caribbean crossing together, which will be Stela and STELA’s first.
